"Bullicante" as in Italian, or "controlled bubble" is a glass making technique. Hand made glass nearly always has a few small bubbles occurred during glass making process. Early glass markers invented tools to make this "incident" more regular and into a controlled pattern.
Sommerso means “submerged” in Italian, which was developed in Murano, Italy during the late 1930s. This glass making technique is used to create several layers of glass inside a single object, giving the illusion of “immersed” colors.
