Schedule: 15-20h per week/40h per week, must be able to work weekends and throughout the holiday season
Pay: $20-25/h
Glass Ripples is a thoughtfully curated home goods and gift shop featuring work by artists and designers from around the world. We believe shopping should feel inspiring, welcoming, and full of discovery.
We're looking for a warm, creative, and detail-oriented Retail & Creative Content Associate to join our growing team. As a small business, every team member plays an important role in creating a beautiful customer experience while helping the shop run smoothly behind the scenes.
What You'll Do
Retail
- Deliver warm, thoughtful customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
- Help customers discover products and make recommendations when needed.
- Process sales using POS systems.
- Beautifully gift wrap purchases with care and attention to detail.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Help keep the shop clean, organized, and running smoothly.
Visual Merchandising
- Maintain beautiful product displays and a well-merchandised sales floor.
- Restock products and keep the shop organized and visually inspiring.
- Assist with seasonal displays, new product launches, merchandising projects and events.
Creative Content
- Create Instagram Reels, Stories, Photos or other short-form content on a weekly basis.
- Contribute creative ideas for social media and brand storytelling.
Store Operations
- Support the Assistant Manager with the day-to-day operations of the shop.
- Receive, unpack, organize, and merchandise incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and ship online orders.
- Pitch in wherever needed to support the team.

- Is passionate about creating engaging content for social media.
- Has a strong eye for styling, photography, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Has prior experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Loves art, design, home goods, and beautiful, thoughtfully designed objects and spaces.
- Is detail-oriented and takes pride in doing things well.
- Is able to gift wrap beautifully and believes presentation matters.
- Has great communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Can work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Can lift boxes up to 40 lbs and remain on their feet throughout a shift.
- Must be available to work weekends and throughout the holiday season.
- Has proficiency in shopify systems (preferred not required).

We’re looking for an organized, dependable, proactive, and problem-solving Assistant Store Manager to help lead our growing team and shape the future of Glass Ripples. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both working with customers and managing the behind-the-scenes operations that keep a small business running smoothly.
As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us and become a key member of our leadership team.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Support
- Help lead, motivate, and support the retail team.
- Delegate tasks and help ensure daily priorities are completed.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and welcoming team culture.
- Take ownership of day-to-day challenges by identifying problems, finding practical solutions, and making thoughtful decisions.
- Train and onboard new team members.
Store Operations
- Help lead and support daily operations.
- Create and manage staff schedules.
- Manage inventory, purchasing and purchase orders.
- Receive, unpack, process, and merchandise incoming inventory.
- Oversee shipping, online order fulfillment, and store organization.
- Ensure the shop is clean, beautiful, organized, efficient and fully stocked.
- Help create seasonal displays and merchandising plans.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example.
- Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Support product launches, workshops, and special events.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and memorable shopping experience for every customer.
Business Support
- Work closely with the owner to help build and maintain relationships with artists, vendors, and partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, sales, and customer experience.
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects.
- Support social media, photography, and content creation when needed.
Who We’re Looking For

- Has 1-3 years of retail leadership or related management experience.
- Has strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Is highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Enjoys solving problems and improving systems.
- Is an excellent communicator and enjoys working with people.
- Appreciates art, design, and thoughtfully made products.
- Is comfortable coaching and supporting team members.
- Can lift boxes up to 40 lbs and remain on their feet throughout a shift.
- Must be available to work weekends and throughout the holiday season.
- Has experience with Shopify systems, POS, inventory management, scheduling, and retail operations.
